Un-Crappify Your CS Conference
Via vibecoding, I built a single app for organizing my conference agenda — replacing the slog of sorting through thousands of talks across hundreds of workshop websites. And you can too by forking this repo with your favorite agent. You can also try out most of the CVPR 2026 version!
Each CS conference this year is bigger than ever before. According to the organizers, at CVPR this year there were 4,089 accepted papers, 141 orals, and 578 highlights. Per my scrape of the conference, there were about 150 workshops, 24 oral sessions, 19 tutorials, and roughly 1,700 talks spread between the workshops and tutorials. In other words, there is far more content for a conference than any person could hope to actually consume.
Most of the major conferences run on the same tech stack. So despite some tooling, the unfortunate news across the board is that you will need to click through and collate the schedule from each workshop’s custom website, which is simply linked from the page. You might filter this down to your sessions of interest, but in CVPR’s case there are literally 1,700+ talks, so it will take a while. Putting together the itinerary, you’ll also need to collate the room numbers, so you can actually traverse between the rooms come game-time. Similar problems present later on for attending oral session talks, navigating the posters of your favorite papers, and filtering down papers. If you’re trying to coordinate this with the networking events you plan to go to, the problem only gets worse.
The good news is, it doesn’t have to be this way anymore. With the strength of LLMs, we can now vibecode our way out of the situation! This year at CVPR, I used Claude Code to almost entirely solve the conference coordination issue, and you can too. I created an app that lets you organize all the talks, papers, sessions, posters, and Zoom links in one place. The app has a simple interface with the following views:
-
Agenda: The dates of the conference, your flights, and the talks, sessions, papers, and events that you have starred and added. Sorted by time and room/poster number.

-
Browse: Look through all the available sessions and talks for a day. No more hunting through session websites and collating info manually.

-
Papers: A unified paper search.

-
Picks: An AI-curated shortlist of papers you might be interested in, readily available to view for the whole conference or for particular sessions. You’ll never be caught at a poster session without a readily-available list of papers to go through!

On top of this, the app supports syncing, so you can start out on your laptop, then see all of your picks on your phone while you’re at the venue.

During CVPR 2026, I hosted this on Cloudflare for free, and the app was a surprise hit with the friends and colleagues I shared it with. If you would like to apply it for your next conference, make your own Cloudflare account and point your coding agent of choice at my GitHub Repo to get started populating and launching it for your own use.
